The Democratic Party's Judicial Justice Realization and Prosecution Dictatorship Committee said at a press conference at the National Assembly that Chairman Kwon is dragging Representative Lee's case to defend President Yoon, using force and water.
He then refuted the claim that Lee intentionally avoided serving the trial documents, saying that he had been in the National Assembly all along due to the civil war and that he was not served twice because there was no one at home.
He also pointed out that the claim that the second trial should be completed within three months is an interference with the judiciary, calling for the trial to be closed on time without sufficient hearing.
In particular, Lee said he had been in court more than 100 times and had been on trial for about 800 hours, claiming that the responsibility for delaying the trial lies with the "political prosecution" who submitted hundreds of thousands of pages of evidence.
