The arrest investigation, which the President of Yoon Suk Yeol filed with the court claiming the "illegal arrest" of the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit, ended in two hours.

The Seoul Central District Court held an arrest investigation for President Yoon, who was arrested on charges of leading a rebellion for two hours from 5 p.m. today (16th).Throughout the examination, both sides

competed over the authority of the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit to investigate civil war and the legality of the arrest warrant issued by the Seoul Western District Court.

On the side of the Senior Prosecutor Cha Jung-hyun and two rank-and-file prosecutors came to court, and lawyers Seok Dong-hyun, Bae Jin-han, and Kim Gye-ri attended as lawyers for President Yoon.

However, President Yoon, who was detained in the Seoul Detention Center, did not appear in court considering security issues.

After that, the court is expected to review and decide whether to accept President Yoon's claim as early as tonight.

The arrest investigation is a system in which the court examines whether the arrest of an investigative agency is legitimate, and if the arrest is deemed inappropriate, the suspect can be released.
