The police special investigation team will summon Kim Sung-hoon, deputy chief of the security service, tomorrow (17th) in connection with the presidential security service's obstruction of the execution of a warrant against President Yoon Suk Yeol.
It has been two days since the arrest of President Yoon Suk Yeol yesterday (15th).
The special team tried to arrest Kim before President Yoon when he refused to attend three times, but did not arrest him on the condition of voluntary attendance in consideration of security issues when transferring to the president.
Deputy Chief Kim, who has led internal hard-liners as the second-in-command of the security service, is a key suspect accused of blocking the execution of the first arrest warrant for President Yoon on the 3rd.
The special team believes that Deputy Chief Kim led the hard-line response by skipping his immediate superior, Park Jong-joon, the former chief of security.
Deputy Chief Kim is also accused of forcing employees to block the execution of the second warrant even by force while acting as the head of the security service.
There were also suspicions that Deputy Director Kim, who is considered to be the first lady line of Kim Gun-hee, even made his employees do work that was not related to their work.
[Yoon Gun-young / Rep. Kim Jong-bae of the Democratic Party of Korea (on the 13th, MBC Radio's Kim Jong-bae's attention) : (To please Kim Gun-hee), the bodyguards made her buy the clothes of her dogs in her official residence. [Like installing karaoke machines, making them buy firecrackers, or having employees do a talent show on their birthdays]
As such suspicions arose, the YTN report confirmed that there are voices within the security office calling it an unprecedented unfair order and that Deputy Chief Kim should be punished for abuse of authority.
The special team plans to focus on proving that it interferes with the execution of the warrant and obstructs the execution of special public affairs, and it is expected to secure Kim's whereabouts as soon as the investigation is completed.
In addition, the day after tomorrow (18th), Lee Kwang-woo, a close aide to Kim Sung-hoon, is also summoned to speed up the investigation into the head of the security service.
