In a joint press conference after signing the agreement with President Zelensky, Starmer, who visited the Ukrainian capital Kyiv on the 16th local time, promised that Britain would stick with Ukraine for a long time after the war ends, and for the next 100 years.
The treaty calls for strengthening maritime security cooperation and cooperation in drone projects against Russia in the Baltic, Black, and Azou seas.
Starmer's visit comes four days before the inauguration of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, who has vowed to end the war early.
Britain, one of Ukraine's biggest donors, has provided military aid and humanitarian aid worth 12.8 billion pounds and 22.8 trillion won in our money to Ukraine since the Russian invasion sparked the war in February 2022.
In mainland Britain, about 50,000 Ukrainian troops have been trained in the use of Western weapons.
