David Lynch, the American master who directed the popular drama "Twin Fix" in the 1990s and the Palme d'Or-winning "Crazy Love" and "Blue Velvet," has died.
He was 78 years old.
The cause of death has not been confirmed, but it is said that he has suffered from emphysema before.
"Our family is deeply saddened and announces the death of David Lynch, an artist and a human being," the bereaved family said on Lynch's Facebook account on the 16th local time.
