On the New York Stock Exchange, the Dow Jones 30 Industrial Average closed at 43,153.13, down 68.42 points or 0.16% from the previous session. The
Standard & Poor's 500 index closed 12.57 points, 0.21% behind the previous session at 5,937.34, and the Nasdaq Composite index closed at 19,338.29, down 172.94 points, or 0.89% from the previous session.
While the stock index was weak due to fatigue and a desire to realize profits from the previous day's surge, the Nasdaq fell particularly heavily as the market capitalization of the top technology stocks was mainly sold and sales poured in an hour before the deadline.
There were no obvious bad news, but Tesla fell more than 3% and Nvidia, Amazon and Alphabet also fell more than 1% while Apple fell more than 4%.
