Floor leaders of the ruling and opposition parties met presided over by National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik and began negotiations on the special prosecution law on the emergency martial law.

In the People's Power, floor leader Kwon Sung-dong and deputy floor leader Park Hyung-soo participated in the meeting, while in the Democratic Party of Korea, floor leader Park Chan-dae and deputy floor leader Park Sung-joon attended.

Chairman Woo said he would do his best to reach an agreement within today, and if it doesn't go well, he will try to reach an agreement with the mindset of locking the door until late at night.

Previously, the ruling and opposition parties have disagreed on the scope of the investigation and manpower over the "Civil War Special Prosecutor Act" co-sponsored by the opposition and the "Gyeom Special Prosecutor Act" that the people decided to prepare on their own.

Chairman Woo adjourned the plenary session held in the afternoon without breaking up, saying he would wait for negotiations between the ruling and opposition parties.
