President Yoon Suk Yeol, who was impeached 10 days after the lifting of the emergency martial law, refused to comply with all five requests for attendance by prosecutors, police and the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit.

After the controversy over the overlapping investigation, the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit, which took the lead in the investigation, immediately began the arrest process,

refused to make specific statements in the investigation of the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit and even filed an arrest suit with the Seoul Central District Court.

The arrest warrant issued by the Seoul Western District Court is illegal, but the Seoul Central District Court did not accept this claim.

The Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit also requested an arrest warrant for President Yoon to the Seoul Western District Court, which issued the arrest warrant.
