The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it held an official opening ceremony at 10:30 a.m. local time on the 17th at the Chukuba Embassy in the Miramar area of Havana, Cuba.
The event was held in the order of the unveiling of the signboard and the signing of the guest book, attended by South Korea's director of Latin America at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs this week and Carlos Pereira, director of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The opening of the Chukuba Embassy is a follow-up to diplomatic relations between the two countries on February 14 last year, and is expected to contribute to increasing benefits such as expanding exchange and cooperation and protecting overseas citizens, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
