People's Power lawmakers attending the inauguration of U.S. President Donald Trump said they will inform all sectors of the U.S. of the domestic political situation related to martial law and the impeachment trial of President Yoon Suk Yeol.

Rep. Yoon Sang-hyun held a press conference at the National Assembly before leaving the country and said he would explain the mature efforts of the Korean people to address international concerns about the domestic situation and normalize the national function.

He also stressed that he would convey our position on the renegotiation of defense contributions and discussions on the Korea-U.S. FTA and the efforts of the Yoon Suk Yeol government to achieve close cooperation among the three countries.

Rep. Na Kyung-won also wrote on her SNS that solidifying trust in South Korea is an important task in the U.S., saying she will explain the exact situation of the first impeachment of the acting president following the opposition party's instigation.

Kim Seok-ki, chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Communications Committee, Kim Ki-hyun, Yoon Sang-hyun, and In Yo-han, members of the People's Power, and Cho Jung-sik, Kim Young-bae and Hong Ki-won of the Democratic Party will attend the inauguration ceremony as a delegation to the National Assembly, while Rep. Na and Rep. Kang Min-guk, Cho Jung-hoon and Kim Dae-sik will participate separately from the ruling party.
