In order to eradicate the so-called "day of serving officials," which has been considered a long-standing evil practice in the public office, the government has decided to operate an intensive reporting period to deal with it strictly.

The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission plans to operate an intensive reporting period on the day of serving executives from May to July, and punish the officials in question in accordance with the Unfair Solicitation Prohibition Act and the Code of Conduct for Public Officials.

The day when low-ranking officials gather their own money to serve food to senior officials who have the authority to evaluate personnel, such as directors and managers.

According to a recent survey released by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security, 18.1% of respondents said they have experienced serving executives in the past year.
