North Korea has recently accused Japan of extremely escalating regional military tensions over the launch of an independent NATO mission.

The Korean Central News Agency reported a statement issued in the name of an international security commentator, raising its voice that Japan's establishment of an independent full-time representative in NATO added a new destabilizing factor to the regional situation.

He argued that Japan is again clearly suggesting that it is an anti-peace force that threatens the world with aggressive military bloc membership, blatant armed escalation, and constant war exercises.

Earlier on the 15th, Japan launched a separate NATO Japanese mission at the Japanese embassy in Belgium to strengthen cooperation with NATO.
