The U.S. Forces Korea Command said it was completely false about a local Internet media report that the South Korean and U.S. military authorities arrested Chinese spies at the Suwon-based Election Training Institute on December 3 last year and sent them to the U.S. military base in Japan.

The U.S. Forces Korea emphasized that the technology and allegations about the U.S. military mentioned in the South Korean media article are completely false and urge responsible reporting and fact-checking to prevent the spread of misinformation that can harm the public's trust.

Earlier on the 16th, the Internet media "Sky Daily" quoted a U.S. military source as saying that martial law forces raided the election training center in a joint operation with the U.S. military during the emergency martial law and secured 99 Chinese nationals, who were transferred to the U.S. military base in Okinawa, Japan via Pyeongtaek Port.

On the 18th, the arrested Chinese confessed to the U.S. intelligence authorities that they were involved in manipulating public opinion in Korea by manipulating comments using artificial intelligence (AI), causing a lot of controversy.
