90 Palestinian prisoners released 'exchange'

Following Hamas' return of three hostages, Israel also released 90 prisoners, making the first "exchange" between the two sides.

According to the Associated Press on the 20th, Israeli correctional authorities said at around 1:30 a.m., "All terrorists from the West Bank Offer Prison and Jerusalem Detention Center have been released."

The freed inmates are said to be mostly women or minors.

The release comes after Hamas repatriated three female hostages, including Romi Gonen, the day before.

According to a cease-fire agreement reached between the two sides, Israel and Hamas stop fighting for 42 days, the first phase, and exchange some hostages.

During the period, Hamas decided to release 33 hostages, including women, children and the elderly, and Israel released 737 Palestinian prisoners.
