National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik said, "We need to understand the economic difficulties facing the local tourism industry in the aftermath of the emergency martial law and listen to what is needed to overcome the crisis."

Chairman Woo held an emergency meeting at the National Assembly on the crisis in the tourism industry in Gwangju and Jeollanam-do, and said, "It is difficult because consumer sentiment has shrunk since martial law.

He then stressed that the National Assembly and the government should put their heads together to draw up an additional budget bill in areas that are really necessary.
