Shin Yong-hae, head of the Department of Justice's correctional headquarters, told the National Assembly's Legislative and Judiciary Committee today that he received reports of the arrival of prosecutors and investigators from the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit at the Seoul Detention Center.
When asked whether the visit was an on-site investigation into President Yoon or a forced recruitment, he answered that he had not been briefed so far, and that it might be one of the two.
It was found that vehicles of the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit and vehicles of the Security Service also visited the Seoul Detention Center.
Earlier this morning, an official from the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit met with reporters and said that they are strongly considering the forced recruitment of President Yoon, who is refusing to investigate.
The Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit conducted its first investigation for more than 10 hours after the arrest of President Yoon on the 15th, and has since demanded a re-investigation, but President Yoon has not continued to respond to the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit's investigation even after his arrest.
