Bitcoin, a cryptocurrency market leader, broke through $109,000, breaking its highest price just before U.S. President-elect Donald Trump took office.
AP and AFP reported that the price of each bitcoin was $109,241 in the early morning of the 20th Eastern Time.
Bitcoin has been soaring recently after reports that Trump will sign an executive order to put virtual currency on a policy priority shortly after taking office.
