6.2-magnitude earthquake in southern Taiwan's Tainan city

A 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck the southern Taiwanese city of Tainan.

According to the China Earthquake Network, a 6.2 magnitude earthquake was observed in Tainan City at around 0:17 local time on the 21st, with an epicenter depth of 14km.

The earthquake caused strong tremors across the island of Taiwan, local disaster authorities said. "The tremors were clear in continental China, including Quanzhou, Xiamen, Fuzhou, and Putian, and there were vibrations in Ningbo, Shanghai, and Hangzhou."
