U.S. President Donald Trump said in his inaugural address that he will end all wars.

Trump's re-entry into the White House could bring about significant changes in Europe's security and alliances, making European countries busy.

First, please tell us the British reaction to President Trump's inauguration.

King Charles III of the United Kingdom sent a personal congratulatory message to President Trump.

Buckingham Palace did not disclose details of the celebration, but said it reflected a special relationship between the U.K. and the U.S.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer also congratulated the inauguration in a video message and stressed that the special relationship between the two countries will continue to flourish for a long time to come.

President Trump's return to power is a big issue among European citizens, including the UK, so let's hear it for yourself.

[Pete / British citizen] I hope, as many wish, that the end of the war will accelerate. I hope Trump can pull it off.]

[Josephine / British citizen] You can't trust Trump in the long run. To be honest, I'm very worried about what's going to happen.

The launch of Trump's second administration foreshadows several challenges for Europe, what are the prospects for the war in Ukraine?

[Reporter]
In his inaugural address, Trump said he would end all wars and that his role as a mediator would be his proudest legacy.

Trump is said to have ordered aides to schedule a call with Russian President Putin in the coming days.

Putin celebrates his inauguration and says he is willing to talk to the Trump administration about Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Zelenskyy also congratulated Ukraine and expressed his hope for an opportunity to achieve a just peace.

However, Ukraine wants to join NATO for security guarantees and Russia strongly opposes it, making it difficult to reach a point of contact at the moment.

In Gaza, the Middle East, the first phase of the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas took effect on the 19th, and President Trump is considering sending a special envoy to manage the issues of the second and third phases of negotiations.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu praised Trump's pro-Israel moves during his first term in office, expressing his willingness to strengthen the alliance.

Meanwhile, European movements have become busier.

This is because President Trump is pressuring Europe in various ways, including high tariffs and an increase in defense contributions by NATO members.

As a result, the leaders of the EU, NATO and the UK have decided to discuss Europe's defense future in Brussels on the 3rd of next month.

The EU has also agreed to modernize a 25-year trade deal with Mexico, which faces threats of U.S. tariffs, and British Prime Minister Starmer has expressed his desire to sign a trade deal between the U.S. and Britain.

In the meantime, Russia and Iran, which are sanctioned by the U.S., are strengthening their close ties by signing a comprehensive strategic partnership treaty three days before Trump's inauguration.

As President Trump's return to power makes it more difficult to predict the world order, European and Middle Eastern countries seem to be trying to expand their diplomatic horizons in complex counting.
