As of 9 a.m., ultrafine dust concentrations across the country, except Jeju, are "bad," and the metropolitan area and Chungcheong area are "very bad."
Accordingly, the Ministry of Environment issued emergency reduction measures from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. today (21st) in the metropolitan area including Seoul and Chungnam, and preliminary reduction measures were taken in Chungbuk and Sejong.
The National Institute of Environmental Research says smog from China is expected to flow in again tomorrow as fine dust continues to accumulate as the atmosphere stagnates.
The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) predicted that the high concentration of fine dust will be gradually resolved on Saturday as the east wind flows in.
