Ministry of Unification "Firms Complete Denuclearization" on Trump's 'North Korea Nuclear Power' remark

Regarding U.S. President Donald Trump's reference to North Korea as a "nuclear power" shortly after taking office, the Unification Ministry stressed that South Korea and the U.S. have maintained firm and consistent goals for North Korea's complete denuclearization goals.

When asked about Trump's stance on his remarks, a Unification Ministry official told reporters today, "We will establish a close South Korea-U.S. cooperation system with the new U.S. administration."

President Trump, who began his term in office early this morning from the South Korean perspective, said in the Oval Office of North Korean State Councilor Kim Jong-un that he is now a nuclear power and that we are well and I think he will welcome me back.
