Japanese Prime Minister "sincere congratulations on Trump's inauguration...Strengthen cooperation between the U.S. and Japan"

Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba congratulated U.S. President Donald Trump on his inauguration and expressed his intention to strengthen bilateral relations with the Trump administration.

Ishiba told his X that he sincerely congratulates Trump on his inauguration and that he will strengthen U.S.-Japan cooperation and work with Trump on the common goal of a "free and open Indo-Pacific."

Prime Minister Ishiba will visit the U.S. in the first half of next month and hold his first summit with President Trump.
