Monk Jinwoo, the general secretary of the Jogye Order, held a New Year's press conference today and responded to reporters' questions about a series of incidents, saying, "I feel very miserable."
He also stressed that if violent things are repeated, it can be a seed for people to cause violence against each other, and that strong legal action is needed in this area.
The Buddhist community added that it will play a role in touching the people's anxiety and letting them know that violent-minded people should not do so.
