Kwon Young-se, chairman of the emergency committee of the People's Power, emphasized the need for special measures in U.S. President Trump's America-first stance.

Chairman Kwon said at the first meeting of the party's Special Committee on Economic Vitalization and People's Livelihood that if the megaton-level changes in the trade environment predicted by President Trump become a reality, it is likely that both exports and domestic demand, which are the pillars of our economy, will suffer from double trouble.

He then criticized the large opposition parties for calling for populist policies that distribute cash indiscriminately to the entire population without any concept of national finances or concerns about the future of the country.

He added that the ruling party, which is in charge of state affairs, will present a real policy to solve the difficulties of the people's livelihood, not a candy application that causes the sweetness of the moment and pain of the future to the people.

He also cited policies for senior citizens following entry into a super-aged society, measures to protect workers at small businesses, and support policies for single-person households, isolated youths, and vulnerable people in housing as key tasks of the Special Committee on Economic Vitalization and People's Living.
