Ceiling Collapse During Demolition of the Old Building in Seocheon-gun...a man in his 50s

At around 1:30 p.m. yesterday (21st), a worker in his 60s died when the ceiling collapsed during the demolition of the building at the site of the expansion and renovation of the old building in Seocheon-gun, Chungcheongnam-do.

The Daejeon Regional Employment and Labor Office has ordered the site to suspend partial work and is investigating whether it violates the Serious Accident Punishment Act.

Seocheon-gun moved to the new building in June 2023 and was in the process of building the empty old building into a complex cultural space, and the construction was ordered by the Seocheon-gun Agricultural Technology Center.
