Kim Sung-hoon, the acting chief of the presidential security service, said he will judge the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit's attempt to seize and search the presidential residence in Hannam-dong according to the law.

Kim attended the first hearing of the Yoon Suk Yeol government's special investigation committee on "alleged civil war" and said that not only the president but also the first lady are subject to security in response to Chairman Ahn Kyu-baek's request to approve the raid and search of the official residence of the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit.

The security agency has refused to seize and search security areas such as the presidential office and Hannam-dong residence based on the criminal procedure law, which prohibits confiscation or search of places requiring military secrets without the consent of the person in charge.

When asked by Democratic Party lawmaker Yoon Gun-young whether he ordered the administrator of the non-Phone server to delete the server according to President Yoon's instructions, Kim replied that it was not true that the non-Phone server was automatically deleted due to its nature.

When asked if the security service had given Kim a non-phone, he replied that he could not confirm it.
