Na Kyung-won, a member of the People's Power, emphasized President Trump's mention of North Korea as a nuclear power, saying that it is time for a nuclear balance strategy and South Korea's own nuclear armament.

Rep. Na said on his SNS, "Peaceful nuclear armament is not a belligerent idea, but a shortcut to real denuclearization negotiations."

He also suggested that Trump's remarks should persuade South Korea that nuclear armament is a "win-win" strategy for international peace with South Korea and the U.S., saying that Trump's remarks are considered to be aimed at changing policies focusing on nuclear freezing, not denuclearization.
