The Ministry of Employment and Labor announced the hazards and risks of 110 new chemicals manufactured or imported in the second and third quarters of this year, as well as measures to prevent workers' health problems.

Among the 110 new chemicals announced this time, 46 species, including potassium oxide iron oxide and phosphorus trifluoride, were found to be harmful and dangerous, such as carcinogenicity, acute toxicity, and skin corrosiveness.

The Ministry of Labor urged workplaces that handle these chemicals to thoroughly implement preventive measures such as wearing personal protective equipment for the safety of workers.

In accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act, manufacturers and importers of new chemicals must submit a hazard and risk investigation report to the Ministry of Labor 30 days before the date of manufacturing or importing the substances.
