"The situation is very difficult," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said. "We have to achieve everything we can this fall."

President Zelenskyy, who returned to Ukraine after his visit to the United States, said in a speech on the evening of the 30th local time that he had spoken to the military leadership, including commander-in-chief Oleksandr Sirsky.

President Zelensky met with U.S. President Joe Biden on the 26th to present a "victory plan" and appeal for support, but with no results.

With more than three months left in his term, Mr. Biden was not sure about repeated requests from Ukraine to attack mainland Russia with U.S.-backed long-range weapons.

Former President Donald Trump, a Republican presidential candidate, repeated his previous stance of ending the war if he is elected, saying, "I want to make a fair agreement for everyone."

The Wall Street Journal reported on the 25th that the U.S. government has already decided that President Zelensky has nothing new in his plan and that it is a repeat of his demand for the lifting of restrictions on the use of long-range weapons.
