The National Statistical Office said online shopping transactions amounted to 19.558 trillion won in August, up only 366 billion won and 1.9% from the same month last year.
The growth rate is the lowest since 2017, when related statistics were overhauled.
In particular, transactions of e-coupon services, including Gifticon, plunged 48.6% to KRW 426.2 billion, the most affected by the Timef crisis.
Mobile transactions increased 5.4 percent to 14.9817 trillion won, accounting for 76.6 percent of all online shopping transactions, the highest ever.
