For the first time, drinking spring water will be released, which uses a nitrogen charging method to reduce plastic usage by 19% compared to conventional containers.

The Ministry of Environment announced that it will launch a nitrogen-filled spring water with a beverage company from the 8th.

Nitrogen-filled spring water is a product filled with gaseous nitrogen inside the container using liquid nitrogen, and the plastic bottle container is not easily crushed.

The newly released nitrogen-filled spring water container is characterized by 19% less plastic use than the existing container, and the weight of the existing container was 11.6g based on 500ml, but the weight of the nitrogen-filled container is 9.4g.

The beverage company involved in the pilot project expects to reduce its annual plastic use by 127 tons.
