On the first day of the official election campaign for three heads of local governments and the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, the leaders of the ruling and opposition parties began to support the election.

Tomorrow, the National Assembly will re-vote three bills that President Yoon called for re-examination, and the war of nerves between the ruling and opposition parties will be fierce.

I'll connect you to the National Assembly reporter for more information. Reporter Son Hyojung!

Please tell me how the official campaign of the ruling and opposition parties goes!

Yes, the areas where the election for the head of the local government will be held this time are Geumjeong-gu, Busan, Ganghwa-gun, Incheon, and Yeonggwang-gun and Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do.

Among them, the People's Power has nominated three candidates except for Yeonggwang, Jeollanam-do.

In particular, from the ruling party's point of view, Geumjeong-gun in Busan and Ganghwa-gun in Incheon are dominant areas where they have to "capture," so the leadership seems to be strengthening from the first day of the campaign.

Floor leader Choo Kyung-ho is particularly active, and he visited Ganghwa Pungmul Market this afternoon to appeal for support for Park Yong-chul, a candidate for Ganghwa County.

CEO Han Dong-hoon, who has already visited Ganghwa and Busan once, will hold a campaign rally to support Gokseong, Jeollanam-do, a vulnerable area of the party, starting next week.

After that, the plan is to visit Busan and Incheon again and hold an on-site supreme council to further consolidate the party's power.

The opposition party has also launched full-fledged support for the election, especially the battle for Honam.

Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, began a campaign to support in Yeonggwang, Jeollanam-do today, and this election is the second judgment of the Yoon Suk Yeol regime, appealing to the Democratic Party of Korea to select a candidate for the cause.

In the afternoon, he visited Geumjeong, Busan, and repeatedly urged the Cho Kuk Innovation Party to unify the candidates for the head of Geumjeong-gu.

Cho Kuk, the leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, will carry out all schedules today in Yeonggwang and Gokseong, Jeollanam-do.Regarding concerns about the division of the opposition party, Chairman

said that he would not join hands with President Yoon Suk Yeol even if he had a knife in his neck, but stressed that he would compete with the Democratic Party as this election is not a presidential election.

Competition is heating up as it has failed to narrow differences with the Democratic Party over the method of unifying candidates for Busan's Geumjeong-gu district office.

The official campaign period for the October 16 by-elections is 13 days until the 15th.

Although it is a mini-election to select one superintendent and four heads of local governments, the ruling and opposition parties are each engaged in an all-out war as it is recognized as a prelude to the local elections next year.

In the meantime, there is a high possibility that the National Assembly will re-vote the bills that President Yoon has called for re-examination tomorrow, right?

[Reporter]
Yes, the amendment to the Special Prosecutor Act on First Lady Kim Gun-hee and Chae Sang-byung and the Local Currency Act, which passed the National Assembly led by the opposition, is expected to be put to a vote again at the plenary session tomorrow.

The requirement to pass the re-voting requires the approval of at least two-thirds of the members present to attend the majority of the registered members.

If all 300 lawmakers attend the plenary session, the requirement for approval is to have more than eight votes from the ruling party, which has 200 seats, or 108 seats.

The Democratic Party, which is pushing for a re-vote, is raising the level of pressure that the special prosecution is a national demand and that the more time the people's power drags on, the more disadvantageous it will be.

However, even within the Democratic Party of Korea, the size of the ruling party's departure vote is not expected to be large.

We are focusing on cracking down on internal votes, saying that there will be no departure votes for the people's power.

Chairman Han Dong-hoon met with reporters and explained that the special prosecution law is a special prosecution law at the discretion of the Democratic Party, and that he thinks the bill is rejected and plans to persuade lawmakers to do so.

However, there are growing voices within the party conscious of the public criticism of Kim's allegations.

Representative Kim Yong-tae said on a radio broadcast that the sooner Kim expressed her position, the better, and pointed out that the worst way is to be taken to the opposition party and apologized.Amid mounting opposition pressure on the

Kim Special Counsel Act, the battle between the ruling and opposition parties over the re-vote is expected to intensify if the plenary session is held tomorrow.
