The Seoul Fire and Disaster Headquarters said that 1,470 cases of safety measures related to the appearance of wild boars have been dispatched in the past three years from 2021 to 2023.
This year, the number of dispatches until last month was 451, down 9.5% from the same period last year.
Fire authorities said that the activity increases between October and December when the breeding season of wild boars begins, and advised that if you encounter wild boars, you should avoid screaming or showing threatening behavior, and avoid looking for trees or rocks around you.
