Speaking at a campaign rally in Detroit, Michigan, Harris said Trump had been a lifelong unionist wrecker and called union leaders union members or suckers.
Trump also pointed out that he was an existential threat to the labor movement, saying he never kept his promise to abide by labor laws and was a person who joked and laughed about firing striking workers.
Regarding the auto industry, Harris said Trump promised during his tenure that he would not lose a single car plant, but six plants, including Stellantis in Detroit, were closed.
Trump also criticized Michigan residents for making the same false promises in hopes that you have forgotten your disappointment in the past.
Trump also said he would bring back manufacturing jobs, but he said the U.S. lost 200,000 manufacturing jobs while in office, describing Trump as the loser who lost the most jobs.
