The Gyeonggi Social Economy Institute said it created a fund worth 27.8 billion won last year, including 5 billion won in investment, and added 78.5 billion won this year to raise a total of 166.3 billion won.
'Gyeonggi Impact Fund' refers to a fund that invests in social economic organizations with innovation and growth potential to solve social problems and create social values.
Governor Kim Dong-yeon pledged to raise 80 billion won in social investment funds by 2026, but more than 20 billion won was achieved two years earlier than the original goal.
The Gyeonggi Impact Fund's No. 1 investment company, 'Kangsters', is planning to enter the U.S. and Europe by attracting investment.
Companies wishing to attract investment in the Gyeonggi Impact Fund can apply through the Gyeonggi Social Economy Institute website (gsic.or.kr ).
