The so-called "Reading Walking" movement, an emphasis project of the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education, is to practice reading, walking, and writing to strengthen the body, emotion, and personality evenly.

In Incheon, various activities are being carried out in everyday life, from infants to adults.

Reporter Kang Tae-wook reports.

Bupyeong Park in Incheon is noisy.

This is because 2,000 infants and toddlers from 60 daycare centers in Bupyeong-gu gathered.

Gather together under the beautiful tree and read a book with the teacher,
Enjoy fun walking while stepping on the
bubble wrap,
I try to express the story I read in the fairy tale book with pictures as I please
.

It is an event organized to practice the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education's "Reading Walk" activities outside.

[Min Mi-rae / Director of Childcare Center, Bugae 3-dong, Incheon: (Kids) love it. It's a great opportunity to experience various booths as well as a festive atmosphere because we're all together rather than doing it as an original event on the floor.]

In Incheon, 'reading' is not just for infants and students.

About 30 members of the Yeonsu-gu Civil Communication Participation Group rolled up their pants.

Walking barefoot on hundreds of meters of red clay road, strengthening health,

introduces and discusses so-called solutions with each other, and then shares opinions with the superintendent of education on Incheon education policy.

The project was introduced last year by Incheon Superintendent Do Sung-hoon, who saw reading, thinking and writing as the driving force for educational innovation.

[Do Sung-hoon / Incheon Superintendent of Education: Reading and walking means an educational activity in which students enjoy reading and experiencing completely and participate in the initiative. It is an education that can develop the power of life we need to live.]

Like the intellectual body of the past, you need to keep your body and mind strong to become a healthy person, and in Incheon, it has established itself for all generations.

Furthermore, the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education is preparing various discussions and events to spread across the country.
