During his state visit to Singapore, President Yoon Suk Yeol said that if a free and unified Korea is realized, it will greatly contribute to freedom, peace and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region.

At the same time, we asked for ASEAN's support for the August 15 Unification Doctrine, which contains our unification vision and strategy.

President Yoon Suk Yeol appeared as a speaker at the Singapore Lecture hosted by the Southeast Asian Research Institute under the Singapore government.

It is a series of world-renowned lectures established in 1980, and major leaders who visited Singapore are invited.President

Yoon first stated that our Indo-Pacific strategy is in line with ASEAN's humanitarian strategy.

He stressed that the unified Korean Peninsula, which was advocated in the "August 15 Unification Doctrine" announced on Liberation Day, will dramatically advance freedom, peace and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region.

After completing the lecture by asking for support for the reunification doctrine, President Yoon will conclude his state visit to Singapore with a luncheon meeting with his compatriots and attend the ASEAN-related summit in Laos.

First of all, through the ASEAN-Korea summit, we will clarify our position on security issues, including North Korea, and persuade them to cooperate again.

The ASEAN+3 summit will also be held with the three countries.

As Japan's new Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba is confirmed to attend, the first Korea-Japan summit with President Yoon is likely to take place.

On the 11th, 18 countries, including Australia, India, New Zealand, and Russia, will also attend the East Asia Summit on ASEAN+3.

The presidential office said that the ASEAN-related summit, which will be attended for the third time since President Yoon's inauguration, will establish a comprehensive strategic partnership and upgrade the ASEAN-Korea relations to the highest level.
