South Korea, the U.S. and Japan shared their assessments of the current situation, including the results of the North's Supreme People's Assembly, and discussed ways to cooperate, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

Cho Gu-rae, head of the Foreign Strategy and Information Division, agreed to hold three-way talks with Daniel Krittenbrink, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, and Hiroyuki Namazu, director of the Asian and Pacific Affairs Bureau at Japan's Foreign Ministry, and to continue close cooperation by closely monitoring future moves, including the possibility of North Korea's provocations.

Based on solid cooperation between South Korea, the U.S., and Japan, the three leaders decided to work to curb North Korea's provocations and escalating tensions and to completely denuclearize North Korea.
