The Fair Trade Commission said it has asked the heads of related administrative agencies to restrict bidding qualifications for Coas, whose accumulated penalty points received for violating subcontracting laws exceeded 5 points.Coas, a manufacturer and seller of

households, was imposed 7.1 penalty points for non-payment of delayed interest, non-issuance of written documents, and violation of the obligation to prohibit the reduction of subcontracting payments.

Coas later submitted clarification data on penalty reduction, but the FTC judged that it did not meet the reduction requirements and requested a bid limit.

The current subcontracting law imposes certain penalties for operators who violate the law for each type of sanctions, and requires the head of the relevant administrative agency to limit the qualifications to participate in bidding if the accumulated score exceeds 5 points.
