The National Zoo in Washington, D.C., which returned three giant pandas to China in November last year, is excited to welcome the new panda family.

According to CNN and other foreign media, the Chinese Wildlife Conservation Association said in a statement on the 14th local time that 3-year-old male panda Baori and female panda Qing Bao will leave China's Dujiangyan base and arrive in Washington DC soon.

As a result, the National Zoo in Washington, DC, is busy welcoming pandas by spending a large amount of money to complete facility renovation and displaying a banner on its website that says, "Panda is coming."

The zoo explained that giant pandas are coming to Washington and will close the zoo on the 15th local time.

Earlier in June, China also sent a 5-year-old male panda named Yuanchuan and a 4-year-old female panda named Xin Bao to the San Diego Zoo.

China will send an additional pair of giant pandas to San Francisco by next year, following San Diego and Washington DC this year.
