The Korean Federation of Free Press and the Korea NGO Association held a press conference in front of the Mokdong Broadcasting Center in Seoul on the morning of the 17th.
Organization officials pointed out that the nature of the National Assembly's earlier hearings lies in the leakage of personal information and the terrorism of retaliatory coverage, and that the opposition party is only focused on covering up the crimes of the perpetrators.
He also stressed the need for a more rigorous investigation, including arrest, against those who leaked the personal information of civil petitioners of the Korea Communications Standards Commission.
In addition, regarding the so-called "civil complaint owner" allegations by Chairman Ryu Hee-rim of Korea Communications Standards Commission, he stressed that civil complaints from acquaintances of the chairman are also free rights to practice social justice.
Earlier in December last year, allegations were raised that Chairman Ryu mobilized his family and acquaintances to request deliberation on NewsTapa's report on "Kim Man-bae-Shin Hak-rim Interview."
In response, Chairman Ryu requested a police investigation on charges of violating the Personal Information Protection Act, claiming that the office staff leaked personal information such as the name of the complainant, and the search was conducted twice.
