The Seoul Central District Court held an interrogation of a suspect before arresting Jeong, a sergeant belonging to the Gangnam Police Station's Crime Prevention Response Division, who is suspected of theft at 3 p.m. today (17th).
Jeong, who attended the court, did not answer any questions from reporters, including whether he admitted the charges or if he committed them to make up for the loss of investment failures.
Sergeant Jeong, who is said to have been in charge of managing the confiscated material in the investigation team of the Gangnam Police Station, is accused of stealing 300 million won worth of confiscated material, including cash seized in gambling cases, several times.
The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul urgently arrested Sergeant Jeong at the office on the 14th and removed his position the day before (15th).
