A woman in her 60s who was crossing a crosswalk in a traffic light was killed.

Namyangju Nambu Police Station in Gyeonggi Province is investigating a driver in his 60s for violating the signal and hitting and killing a pedestrian while driving.

Mr. A is accused of hitting a woman in her 60s who was crossing a crosswalk while driving on a red light at a three-way intersection in Hwado-eup, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, at around 6 p.m. yesterday (20th).

The woman, who was crossing the street with her husband, was taken to the hospital with serious head injuries, but died.

It has been confirmed that A has not been drinking alcohol.

The police believe that A caused the accident due to careless driving and are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
