Samsung Electronics shares started at 58,800 won, down 200 won from yesterday, plunging to 58,000 won, marking a new 52-week low following yesterday.
Foreigners and institutions are net sellers, and foreigners have continued net selling for 30 days, the longest ever.
The KOSPI fell 0.16 percent to 2,600.87 and the tech-heavy KOSDAQ opened 0.16 percent lower at 758.72.
The index is falling as foreigners and institutions are net sellers in both the securities and KOSDAQ markets.
