McDonald's "employer" has taken a stand on former President Donald Trump's claim that it is a lie that U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris had a part-time job at a hamburger chain when she was a college student.

According to the Washington Post (WP) and The Hill on the 21st local time, McDonald's said in a statement to its internal employees, "We are a company that has nothing to do with politics, but we are proud of both President Trump's love of McDonald's and Vice President Harris' precious memories of his part-time job."

In particular, McDonald pointed out that former President Trump recently posted on his social media (SNS) that "when I checked with McDonald, there was no record of 'liar' Harris working."

It is true that Vice President Harris's 1983 part-time job to earn pocket money is not available because personnel records were before they were computerized, but this is also the case for all employees at the time.

McDonald's also said, "What's so special about 'one in eight' is that they share so many American experiences."

'1 in 8' is a statistical representation that about 12% of Americans have worked at McDonald's once in their lives.

While we can't find Vice President Harris's record of part-time jobs, it seems to have been around mentioning that he is one in eight people with experience working at McDonald's.

In his acceptance speech for the Democratic National Convention's presidential nomination in August, Vice President Harris talked about his experience working part-time at McDonald's as a student, trying to differentiate himself from former President Trump, a former real estate tycoon.

In response, former President Trump visited a McDonald's store in Pennsylvania, a contested state, on the 20th to receive a drive-through order and make fries.

In response to former President Trump's visit, McDonald explained, "We have processed former President Trump's request in accordance with our company's core principle that restaurants are open to anyone."

"McDonald does not support elected candidates, which is the same in this election to choose the next president," he said, adding, "We are golden, not red, not blue."
