Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with U.S. Secretary of State Tony Blinken, who visited his country on the 22nd (local time), to discuss the post-war plan for Gaza.

"Prime Minister Netanyahu met with Blinken for two and a half hours," the Israeli prime minister's office said in a statement. "The atmosphere of the meeting was friendly and productive."

"The removal of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar will have a positive impact on the return of hostages, the achievement of war goals and the post-war plan," Netanyahu said, adding that he was grateful to the U.S. for its support in fighting Iran's axis of evil and terrorism.

"The United States is deeply shocked that Iran has attempted to kill the Israeli prime minister through Hezbollah," Blinken said, according to the prime minister's office.

Blinken will visit Middle Eastern countries such as Israel and Jordan by the 25th.
