The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety said it inspected more than 33,000 places from late August to mid-September, including 6,000 food service centers in schools and stores selling children's favorite foods in children's food safety zones.

In this inspection, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety explained that it detected 20 businesses that violated the Food Sanitation Act, including five group food service centers, and requested administrative measures from local governments.

Among the companies that violated, nine stores expired products, and some have violated sanitary handling standards or have not undergone a medical examination.

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety added that the detected group food service centers will be re-examined within six months, and children's favorite food cooking stores will be regularly inspected by dedicated managers.
