The Ministry of Health and Welfare said it has investigated the whereabouts of children born since 2010, which were managed with temporary newborn numbers without resident registration numbers, but it has been confirmed that children who were converted to temporary management numbers due to failure to register their births were omitted from the investigation.
Therefore, it is said that the health center will begin an investigation next month to check the whereabouts and safety of more than 2,200 children who have given temporary management numbers for vaccination for more than a month without reporting their birth, like dead children.
The Ministry of Health and Welfare explained that it had previously conducted a full investigation of more than 10,000 children with temporary identification numbers with local governments and police, investigated 131 people whose whereabouts were ambiguous, and continued to monitor 29 people who were not reported to be born.
