Sotheby's said it will auction the work on the 20th of next month, expecting the winning price to be up to $150,000 and our money to be around 200 million won.
The winning bidder will receive a certificate of authenticity and an official installation manual along with tape and bananas.
The tapered banana "Comedian" became famous when a performance artist took it off and ate it when it was displayed in Miami, USA in 2019.
The piece, which Cattelan bought for 30 cents at a nearby store, was sold for $120,000 at the time and 150 million won in our money.
This work was also eaten by a university student when it was exhibited at the Leeum Museum of Art in Seoul last year.
This time, "Comedian" will tour London, Paris, Milan, Tokyo for nearly a month before going up for auction in New York.
Cattelan is known for its satirical works that challenge popular culture.
Cattelan described his work "Comedian" back in 2021 as a serious commentary and reflection on what we consider valuable, not a joke.
