"Our fight is a fight against fundamental freedom for a woman to make decisions about her body," Harris said at a campaign rally in Kalama, Michigan.
Harris has made it clear that one in three women in the United States lives in states where abortion is prohibited because of former President Trump, and that she will make the issue of abortion rights a key issue before the presidential election.
"If you want to change this country and end hatred and division to create the next generation of leaders, you have to do something," Obama said, appealing for Harris' support.
He also said that shooting Trump is "a vote against health and values" for women and for men, "if you don't produce the right results, you make your wife, your daughter and your mother a victim."
In the meantime, Harris stressed that the government should not dictate women's bodies, and she met with medical staff at a medical institution in Michigan to discuss the impact of abortion restrictions on the healthcare system.
